General Manager
Sullivan gaffney
Sullivan Gaffney is the current General Manager for WHCL! His show is called Beats on Toast, an exploration into British Invasion Rock from the 60's and 70's. Sullivan recently declared as an Economics and Computer Science double major! This is Sullivan's fourth semester as a member of WHCL's E-Board, he previously served as the studio engineer and then an assistant music director. When he's not enjoying the melodies of The Kinks and The Zombies, Sullivan spends his time working out, reading, and generally enjoying the Upstate New York environment.

ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER
sarah walcott
Sarah is a senior World Politics Major with a focus on environmental politics, and can’t somersault. When she’s not naked in the studio (with Ruby and Kendall) on her show Are You Decent, you can find her on the Kirkland Green with her friends. She’s seen Norah Jones live TWICE, once with her mom, and a second time with her host mom in Chile when she was abroad. Her spirit animal is a dolphin but she is fascinated by beavers and their dam incredible work ethic. She inherited this from her Grandmother who’s donated three annotated beaver books to the Glen House. Catch Sarah on Are You Decent? Sundays at 7!

Assistant Music director
Ian O'Reilly
Ian O’Reilly is a senior majoring in public policy and minoring in history. He loves metal music and the band Ice Nine Kills. His favorite album art is the nightmare-inducing cover for Avenged Sevenfold’s Nightmare. He is the longtime host of The Forge as well as Directors’ Report. His favorite animal is the rabbit.

Music director
Maiko Giannakis
Maiko Giannakis (she/her) is a sophomore, a bona fide chiller, and WHCL Music Director. Maiko hails from Sea Cliff, a one-square-mile village on the North Shore of Long Island. Here at Hamilton, Maiko enjoys being a WHCL e-board member, bonding with her sorority sisters, skiing with the alpine team, and being a neuroscience major, in precisely that order. She shares a Valentine’s birthday with WHCL’s Senior Advisor Will Kretz—but arguably, Maiko deserves your flowers more. Maiko does not have an on-campus hiding spot, but if she had one, she wouldn’t tell you anyway, so buzz off! Her DuoLingo streak is 147 days abandoned, sadly, and counting. You can catch her radio show, Anything and Everything, on Mondays at 4PM!

assistant music director
james lurz

Staff and Programming Director
Adam Richter
A sophomore and math major hailing from somewhere between the geographical and population centers of New Hampshire, Adam finds himself on WHCL’s e-board by way of his love for music and his freshman dorm room’s proximity to that of our dear GM Sully. When he’s not in the broadcast studio or puzzling out a proof, you can find him walking around campus listening to the likes of Stevie Wonder, Steely Dan, and Supertramp (the 3 S’s) and thinking about baseball. You can catch him on air playing his favorites from the ‘70s and beyond on Thursday mornings, or indulging in his progressive rock tastes on Monday nights. If that sort of music isn’t your jam, you can find him most days in CJ or KJ where he is always open to a conversation about golf, geography, speedcubing, board games, his hatred of chocolate, baseball history, or the use of oxford commas in WHCL bios.

COMMUNITY DIRECTOR
JONATHAN MEAD
Jonathan Mead is known to WHCL as the Community Advisor, known to the FCC as the Chief Operator of WHCL, and known to the rest of campus as that one guy who read during that concert once. His duties mostly include doing paperwork, being the Keeper of Knowledge, and really anything else the station may require. After living in Montreal and California, he decided to settle in Clinton, New York of all places, joining WHCL as a DJ before becoming the Community Advisor. You can find him now in the studio office, keeping the station from shattering into a million little pieces and listening to Hazmat Modine, Amy Rigby, and Elizabethan lute covers of Nick Drake songs (no, I’m not kidding). Outside of the studio, you can stop by Tom’s Natural Foods to say hi to Jonathan and thank him for keeping your favorite shows streaming smoothly!

Publicity Director
will kretz
Will Kretz is a senior majoring in Art History and minoring in both History and Creative Writing. His musical interests currently center themselves around the fantastic work of MJ Lenderman, and his favorite album cover art was created by The Blue Nile for their album "Hats." When not carrying the awesome weight of being a Senior Advisor to WHCL, he can be found in the studio for his radio show Ancient Algorithms (5pm Wednesdays, highly-coveted merch sold separately), or flexing his vocabulary by enjoying the pleasant challenge of a crossword.

Events Coordinator
Brennan Cunningham
"Brennan is a sophomore from New Jersey who loves mourning doves and hates blue jays. In 10 years he’ll have a fabulous collection of lamps and be working hard at growing tomatoes in his garden. Besides camping out in the studio, you can find Brennan tapping maple trees in the Glen or listening to Geese (artist or birds). A lie Brennan loves to tell is that he’s a pickler, and a truth is that he’s great at beat boxing. Tune into Brennan’s Soul Hour Fridays at 11am! "

SENIOR ADVISOR
Carter Megalli
"Carter (aka Czarter) has been transported back to imperial Russia and is now running the ballrooms of St. Petersburg. While a little confused they have adjusted well to the Russian aristocracy. Despite it being the 1800s Carter managed to bring their DJing hardware turning every party into a rager. When not mixing an unforgettable set they are conjuring Drake and Chanel Beads’ music to educate that proletariat on good music, ultimately leading to the communist revolution. "

Senior Advisor
Emily Forslof
Emily Forslof is a senior advisor for our very own WHCL. Emily hails from the region of Idaho known as Coeur d'Alene, which has granted her an impeccable grasp on French culture. You can catch her totally awesome radio show this semester, Juicebox, Sundays at 4:00 P.M. sharp. Emily brings an excellent movie taste to the WHCL scene, with her favorite movie being Moonstruck as well as an appreciation for Tarantino films such as Jackie Brown. Emily’s love for the artistry expands far beyond just the pictures, she played what has been regarded as “one of the most incredible trumpets of all time” in her high school band club. In another life, Emily would be gliding across a warmly lit dance floor in a refined speakeasy, impressing the audience with her style and grace of swing dancing. Emily’s innate taste for the exceptional again prevails; when asked about her least favorite song she replied: “anything by Taylor Swift” (what a joyous answer), and she believes that My Rifle My Pony and Me by Dean Martin has had the most profound effect on her life. When asked “Who on the board could you beat in hand to hand combat?” Emily answered instantaneously with an excitement in her eyes, “Carter Lefkowitz, I really, really wa-think I could knock him out”.

ASSISTANT PUBLICATION EDITOR
Eliana Mannes
Eliana (she/her) is alive and well, the air conditioning in the car is on and Sufjan Stevens is playing. She is quite content.

PUBLICATION EDITOR
carter lefkowitz
Carter Lefkowitz is a senior World Politics guy and Publication Editor. Just another Beatles fan and lover of ’80s bands, he finds it a little sad that he gets tired of his favorites pretty quickly. When he’s not reading submissions or making witty music games for The Wattage, you can catch him Shazaming anytime, anywhere—he’s a new music fiend! Just don’t give him the AUX at Frisbee practice (and don’t ask why). Tune in to his show Truth Bomb at 9 p.m. on Wednesdays for some accurate music hot takes.

assistant PUBLICATION EDITOR
Alessandra Gavris

Webmaster
Ruby bakal
Whether the sun is shining and birds are chirping or she’s about to go to bed, Ruby is probably listening to Ethel Cain’s “Thoroughfare.” Not for the lyrics, though—Ruby’s a melody girl through and through. Maybe that explains her high school fascination with artists like BROCKHAMPTON and Daniel Caesar. While she looks back fondly on those musical roots, since coming to Hamilton, Ruby has expanded her sense of what counts as “good music” and “bad music.” She’s seen the light (aka the holy WHCL needle atop South’s roof) and discovered the joys of Spanish music while abroad. Inspired by hyperpop, reggaeton, and Rosalía, Ruby is on a mission to bring back dance music, and embrace the power of the melody! Now stepping into her new role as Webmaster, Ruby is drawing on her experiences as a seasoned E-Board member. She’s taking her insights as a Member-at-Large/Events Coordinator and riding the high of her time as Staff & Programming Manager to help make WHCL truly by the people, for the people.

Studio Engineer
oscar lledo osborn
Oscar Lledo is a senior hailing from Providence, RI, but he constantly gets mistaken for someone from Western Ontario…he just gives that vibe. Oscar is currently on a journey to find himself (and his bike), so if you see him walking around with a pensive look, don’t be alarmed! he’s following his path. His favorite form of sediment is sand, which Rhode Island thankfully has an ample supply of, so be on the lookout for him in the Rhode Island Desert, where he frequents on horse and buggy. Music? We don’t really do that sort of thing here — but the grapevine says you might be able to find him at Open Mic on Thursdays!

MEMBER AT LARGE
Pedro Hernandez
Pedro Pablo Hernandez Sanchez (that’s his full name!) hails from the mean streets of The Bronx, New York. Known as the fastest walker on campus, Pedro keeps his head down and stays out of the way – don’t be offended if he doesn’t see your wave! Pedro likes taking pictures of animals. He plans on walking over to the cow pasture up the hill one night with his camera and a huge flash for a photography project he’s working on. Maybe you should ask him about it. Musically, Pedro’s tastes are quite scattered. But definitely don’t ask him about that if you want a succinct response. Rather, tune into his show, Mercurial, airing weekly on Thursdays at 11pm!

member at large
Charlotte Tsekerides
Hi! I’m Charlotte, I’m a Freshman, and I’m a Member-at-Large for WHCL. I’m from Long Island, NY, more specifically from Cold Spring Harbor (shout out). When I’m home in The Harbor, I like to go on long drives and listen to music, walk trails with my two dogs (Jasper & Luna), and hang out with friends & family (thrifting, coffee runs, etc.). When I’m back on The Hill, I resume my position on the Prose Board for Red Weather, play trumpet in the Brass Ensemble, write for various papers on campus, and host my WHCL show “goated with the sauce” on Mondays at 3pm! I’m really into fashion (a.k.a. scrolling Pinterest for an obscene amount of time), as well as discovering new music. It should be mentioned that discovering Ethel Cain changed the trajectory of my life. I love to watch movies and TV, and spend way too much time coming up with one liners for my Letterboxd reviews. I also like to draw sometimes, but don’t ask me to show you I’m shy. I’m so so excited to be a part of the WHCL board this semester!
